2021 Newmar King Aire
Our customer bumped into an obstacle, and dented the rear door of this huge Newmar King Aire. The crash also ripped the fiberglass on the rear cap.
The Newmar King Aire is an absolutely massive Class A motor coach (45 foot long), difficult to maneuver in tight spaces full of small obstacles.

And so our bodywork repair job begins.
We had to remove the inner filler panel to gain access to back side of the rear cap. This allowed us to properly repair the backside fiberglass for strength.
In doing so, we discovered that the inner filler panel was also cracked: it had to be repaired as well.
The rear door was crushed in pretty badly. We had to straighten it out.
We then epoxied the door skin back onto the frame. Straight-edge and clamps got the job done right.

The outer skin of the rear door, now properly attached to the door frame, is ground and ready for filler.
Rear cap is relief cut, ground and we applied fiberglass and matte.
Once this process was complete, we primed the repaired areas with a catalyzed primer. Then a final sand was done. This Newmar King Aire was ready for paint.

We applied the base/clear, sanded it and buffed it to a mirror-like finish matching the beautiful factory paint job.
Our customer ordered the stainless steel panel for the bottom of the door. It had not yet arrived at the time we published this page.

This Newman King Aire is not ready to hit the road.
