That must have been scary… This beautiful Forest River Cherokee travel trailer had a tire blowout on the highway, and as you can see in the top photo, the sidewall metal and the lower wrap had suffered some substantial damage. We took down all the damaged metal, replaced it, then repainted it to perfect match.
We also had to replace the hot water heater door, the corner molding, and the left side light. Fortunately the damaged stopped there. Remember to check your tires carefully any time you take your 5th wheel or travel trailer out of storage, and anytime you pull out of a camp site.
Tire blowout are almost inevitable, especially in certain States where the black top isn’t in good shape, but a precautionary last-check-up before hitting the road may save you repair costs and heartache. In any case, this beautiful Cherokee trailer is now restored back to its full glory, and the owners are quite happy with the result.
Take a look at the fiberglass repair on this Class C. The owner accidentally backed up into a low, hidden pole. A very common problem of visibility. The result: badly cracked fiberglass and broken rear lights.
But fear not! Artistic Elegance fully repaired the fiberglass, and repainted the back with an exact matching paint and finish.
We also replaced the rear lights block. This RV looks like nothing ever happened!
This is what our client wrote in her review:
“We had an accident in grocery store parking lot that tore a gash about 2 feet in length on the back of our Class C RV. I googled fiberglass RV repair and found Artistic Elegance and Kent! His crew did a wonderful job in a timely manner. Kent communicated with our insurance company to adjust the cost of repairs from their original estimate. Bottom line: we are extremely happy with the body work repair and recommend Artistic Elegance for any RV fiberglass work needed.”

Check out the “before” and “after” photos of the front bumper of this beautiful Newmar Dutchstar Class A. The left shot shows the front bumper after it hit a tree stump.
These stumps are very difficult to see, especially when the grounds around them are not tended: weeds hide them, and this kind of problem often happens in RV camps.
Unfortunately in this case, the damage included cracked fiberglass, broken trim around the side light, and broken optics on the parking light.
Artistic Elegance repaired the fiberglass and replaced the trim around the side light. We repainted the front bumper to a perfect match. The lower light optics will be changed before this beautiful Class A leaves our shop. At this time, we are waiting for the part to come.
The photo shows how badly crushed was the upper sidewall framework of this fifth wheel. We actually replaced the aluminum frame, and repaired the wood. The structural integrity of the RV was restored before we affixed the sidewall panel to the sidewall structure to enclose it.
At the end of the repair project, it looked as if no damage had ever incurred to the RV.
On the BEFORE photo, you can see the fiberglass cracked big time. This type of gash has to be repaired at the earliest opportunity before the various torsions exerted on the structure when driving on uneven roads continue tearing the fiberglass.
The AFTER photo shows the repair and paint work we did on the back panel of this fifth wheel: it looks like absolutely nothing happened. Happy clients!
