Fleetwood RV Repair: Fiberglass Repair Project

Fleetwood Class A Fiberglass Repair

Fleetwood Class A Fiberglass Repair

This majestic Fleetwood Class A has to undergo a major fiberglass repair on its backside cap. It got gashed pretty badly due to an unfortunate encounter with a big pole hiding out of sight. The fiberglass is cracked on a vertical line, and to repair it, we will have to loosen the backside cap (see next photos).

In the first two pictures, you can see the position of the gash, and the detail of the crack on the fiberglass.

Because the damage is extensive, we will have to repaint and apply new factory decals.

Here in these shots you can see how we loosened the rear cap to gain access to the inside of the panel and repair the fiberglass.

As we progress in the repair, we stop the tear and strenghten the whol structure. We also had to repair the lower part of the rear cap where the tailights are fixed. When the fiberglass repair is completed, we will repaint by blending and color-matching, then finish by applying factory decals.
